E. Coli Contamination Behind Meat Recall

Meat products manufactured for Gordon Food Service in fifteen states have been recalled due to possible contamination with e. Coli. The manufacturer of the defective products is Davis Creek Meats and Seafood of Michigan.

The items being recalled include boxes of mechanically tenderized steaks and ground beef. They were distributed in 15 states including Kentucky.

The boxes are labeled EST1947A and will say Manufactured for Gordon Food Service or Distributed by Gordon Food Service on the box.

E. Coli is a bacteria that is potentially life-threatening. It causes stomach cramps, diarrhea, and dehydration. You may contact the store that you purchased the contaminated meat from for more information.
